A Welcoming Smile

Dr. William Lee’s warm, positive energy makes every child feel safe, comfortable, and proud of their accomplishments in the dental chair. For Dr. Lee, pediatric dentistry is built on three essentials: preventing dental problems before they start, protecting children from pain and infection, and ensuring that every visit is a positive, confidence- building experience. At the heart of his approach is a guiding principle: to treat every child with the same care and compassion he would give his own family.

Academic Career and Dental Experience

Dr. Lee began his academic journey at the University of Maryland, where he earned degrees in both Neurobiology/Physiology and Philosophy. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. From there, he completed a general practice residency and pediatric internship at Denver Health Hospital, followed by further specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Dr. Lee has extensive experience providing comprehensive pediatric care, including preventive and restorative services, and full mouth rehabilitation under general anesthesia. He has also cared for many patients with special health care needs, dental trauma, and complex medical conditions, and values tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of each child and family. He speaks conversational Korean and Spanish and loves when kids teach him new words and phrases. Whether it’s swapping stories about favorite foods or sharing a good laugh, Dr. Lee enjoys finding ways to connect with children beyond dentistry.

Caring Beyond the Clinic

Community service has always been central to Dr. Lee’s journey. He has participated in national and international volunteer efforts, including Give Kids a Smile, CDA Cares, Students Helping Honduras, and Global Dental Brigades. He is passionate about advocating for children’s oral health and has presented research on family decision- making in pediatric dentistry. Now rooted in West Los Angeles, he is eager to be an active member of the local chapters of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry

(AAPD) and American Dental Association (ADA).

Hobbies & Interests

Outside the clinic, Dr. Lee enjoys running, exploring new neighborhoods with his newly married wife (a surgical resident at UCLA), and spending time with his mini goldendoodle, Lucy. After several years together in the mountains of Colorado, they are so thrilled to be back by the beach soaking up the sun!
