Dr. Guiselle Murillo was born and raised in sunny Southern California in Ventura County. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in orthodontics at just 15 years old, after having braces herself—a truly transformative experience that boosted her confidence and self-esteem. That journey inspired her passion to create the same lasting impact for others by helping patients achieve healthier, more beautiful smiles.

Dr. Murillo is deeply committed to providing the highest quality care while building genuine relationships with her patients. She believes that orthodontics is not just about straightening teeth—it’s about creating a positive, supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and truly cared for throughout their orthodontic journey.

Her journey into orthodontics began at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Her love for UCLA led her to stay and earn her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where she was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society. She later matched into her top-choice residency program—UCLA once again—where she completed her orthodontic training and also earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Guiselle has a strong passion for education and giving back to the community. She served as a lecturer and mentor for pre-dental students, led a dental Spanish course, and mentored undergraduate students in research. Her dedication to underserved communities is reflected in her work with organizations such as the Hispanic Student Dental Association, Give Kids a Smile, Care Harbor, and others, where she provided free dental care and oral health education to families in need.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Murillo enjoys staying active and making the most of her free time through the things that bring her joy. She loves doing Pilates, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, cheering on the Dodgers, baking, and spending quality time with her family. Dr. Guiselle is incredibly excited to be joining the TLC for Smiles team. She looks forward to helping each patient achieve a confident, healthy smile—while creating meaningful connections and making every visit a positive experience.
